THE PROJECT.
The project consists of the construction of a new building block in “La pointe Presqu'île”, an area between two canals that connect the town of Caen with the English Channel. This is a unique opportunity to redefine the identity of the area and improve the connection between the sea and the city.

At the project level, each of the blocks that make up the project has a different function. In the project program there are social housing, privately promoted housing, a health center, office offices, student residences and parking lots.

THE STRUCTURAL ARTIFICIAL.
The diversity of uses conditions the spatial needs of each area, which is why a structural system has been sought that allows homogenizing procedures to reduce cost but allows a certain flexibility in the arrangement of the vertical elements of the structure. A structure composed of unidirectional pre-slabs has been made that facilitates construction by not requiring dense formwork, which not only simplifies execution but also reduces the cost of construction as large shoring towers are not necessary for the formwork. the balconies on the upper floors.
